Expressive Elegance

The brief for this project was to introduce an expressive visual identity to this newly built luxury villa in Mallorca through original artwork, styling, and carefully layered finishing details.

While the architecture of the home remains clean and understated, the styling direction takes a warmer and more personality-driven approach, using artwork and decorative objects to create focal points and bring individuality into the space. Expansive glazing and open-plan living areas allow natural light and sea views to remain central throughout, creating a bright and airy backdrop for the scheme.

A foundation of soft neutrals, natural stone, and warm timber creates balance and cohesion across the interior, while bolder artwork introduces colour, movement, and contrast. Rather than quietly blending into the architecture, selected pieces are intentionally used to draw attention and shape the atmosphere of individual spaces, adding energy and character while remaining complementary to the wider palette.

Decorative styling focuses on texture, warmth, and materiality, combining sculptural forms, ceramics, layered textiles, and curated objects to create a home that feels elegant yet lived-in. Throughout the house, restraint and expression are carefully balanced, allowing the interior to feel refined without becoming impersonal.

The result is a space that feels calm, welcoming, and visually distinctive, where contemporary Mediterranean architecture is softened through art, texture, and thoughtfully curated moments of personality.
